June 4 – September 3, 2022

“To see the world in a grain of sand,
And heaven in a wildflower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.”

~William Blake

Opening Reception | June 4 from 4 -7 PM

Co-curated by Donna Poulton and Anne Morgan Jespersen, our Spring 2022 exhibition pays homage to the allure and beauty of Spring, as it transforms the mountain and valleys just outside our doors.

The depiction of flowers in art has been symbolic of our desire for beauty, romance, ritual, and a connection to nature. From the still life frescoes of Pompeii to Damien Hirst’s past Paris exhibition, Cerisiers en Fleurs flowers have played the role of muse for many of our most celebrated artists and their appeal and ethereal transience continue to spark our imaginations. To “create a little flower,” as William Blake wrote, is “the labor of ages.”
